Spelling ideas

These are clothespin  cards, too. In this case children have to count letters and clip one clothespin per letter.
I just added yellow cardboard to small clothespins.

July, 11th was Elwyn Brooks White's birthday. We celebrated her birthday doing some Charlotte's web related activities.

I focused on animals on the farm. You can get some freebies and ideas in my blog.

Writing sticks

I love writing and love thinking new ways to improve my kids writing skills. These are some writing sticks I made for my older kids. They loved talking about their favourite things. I printed, cut and laminated them for durability.
Kids picked up one of the sticks and wrote a few sentences using it. They changed sticks when finished.

Great App!

I have a great app that you've got to add to your iPhone! It's the Magic Grader! It's a grading slide like the one you buy at the start of every school year and end up losing somewhere in your room before December. (I never wind up finding it either!) It's only 99¢. I've had this on my phone all year and I love it! The best part is that it was created by a student in my district. His mom is a teacher! I just love that!

S is for Spring

Spring is here and I  finished a complete collection of A letter a week filefolders. From A to Z your children can practice and reinforce the alphabet while having fun. I also added an ASL mat to practice signs.

Magic E for Smartboard

This quick and fun activity works well for Magic E practice!  Use as a whole group, or have your students work on this at a station/center.  We used this in the winter, so it might be a great activity to save for next year as well.  Click on the link, or click on my blog link for more!
